Select a waterproof vent membrane for your enclosure
Start with the enclosure and its operating conditions. A material sample alone does not establish the protection or pressure response of the assembled device.
Prepare your application requirements
- Enclosure drawing, free internal volume and available vent opening.
- Required airflow, pressure difference and operating temperature range.
- Water exposure and target ingress protection test, including any immersion conditions.
- Mounting material, usable bonding area and assembly method.
Airflow, vent size and protection requirements need to be considered together. Confirm performance in the final enclosure before approving a production design.

What should I include in a sample request?
Include your application, opening dimensions, mounting surface, protection target and expected volume. Add a drawing and your acceptance criteria when available.
Can I specify an IP rating for the membrane alone?
State the protection target for your device when enquiring. The vent, bond and housing must be evaluated together. This page does not certify an IP rating for an untested assembly.
